enlightenedSTATE TESTING INFORMATIONenlightened

There was no state testing during the 2019/2020 school year.

For the 2019/2020 8th graders who missed the reading test, this is information from the DMV

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH)--Because students won't be returning to Oklahoma public schools this year due to the coronavirus, the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety (DPS) is waiving certain driver license requirements for those under 18.

Under current Oklahoma law, those under 18 who are applying for a learner's permit or driver license have to present enrollment verification from their school as well as proof of reading proficiency, the eighth-grade English language arts assessment.

These requirements are being waived by DPS, as well as the reading proficiency requirement being waived permanently for all students who are eighth-graders during the 2019-2020 school year since the test will not be given this year.

For now, all driving skills test have been cancelled and DPS is only allowing 10 customers in their offices at a time, with every customer having to have an appointment.

Last week, the department began online renewal for Class D driver licenses and ID cards, click here for more information on that.

All facilities, practices, and events are under Chickasha Public School COVID19 guidelines.

If your child is planning on playing sports in the Fall or Spring he or she will need a physical by the first day of practice to participate.  Each athlete must have a new physical every year.

Parents must fill out Rank One Athletic Forms to complete the process for your child to participate. Below are the instructions.

Check out the CPS Athletics Page for the Sports Schedules.
